Glenda Pettaway MD, FAAP

Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Pettaway completed her degree in medicine and surgery at the University of West Indies in Jamaica.  She then completed a pediatric residency at the University of Florida Health Sciences Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Following her residency in Florida, Dr. Pettaway moved north to complete a Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While in Pittsburgh, she also completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research at the University of Pittsburgh Clinical and Translation Research Institute.
Prior to joining Dawson Pediatrics, Dr. Pettaway worked with several other private pediatric practices in Georgia as a general pediatrician. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Pettaway volunteers for multiple organizations throughout the Atlanta area providing both professional and personal services to children and families. When not involved in clinical care, Dr. Pettaway enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
